The Commandments of #Egyptian*Sands

Thank you for taking a moment to look over our rules. This channel has a very loose World of Darkness setting. We're trying to keep things simple and not be too limiting, so this means a lot of "common sense" is going to have to be used on the part of the player. If you have any comments, suggestions, or questions, feel free to e-mail us.

1. Thou Shalt Not Abuse Thy PC's Power. We do not set limits on how powerful your characters can or can't be. But arguments over "my character is more powerful than your character" are unacceptable, along with senseless abuse of that power (i.e. taking control of others characters, blowing up parts of the Mirage, etc...). This ties in heavily with rule number 4.

2. Thou Shalt Not Kill Other's PCs. Not only is killing PCs that aren't your own extremely rude, it will not be tolerated in the Mirage or in any role-play related to the Mirage. If any of the ops find out of this happening the violator will be banned immediately. The only exception to this will be if the other character's "mun" has given express permission that his or her PC may be killed.

3. Thou Shalt Not Trap Other's PCs. Understandably, at times, PCs will go off by themselves to be alone for private conversations and so on. If, during role-play, one mun must leave quickly before the role play is resolved, then the mun who didnt leave may decide on a reasonable amount of time before she or he can bring the character back into regular role-play. (like a simple walk in the woods should only take about 10-30 minutes) This resolves the problem of a person having their character "trapped" in role-play with another character who's mun they might not see very often.

4. Thou Shalt Behave Thine Self. This is probably the biggest part of where that common sense I was talking about comes in. Just in general try not to start trouble on purpose, enough just happens all by itself.

5. Thou Shalt Relax And Enjoy Thine Self. This is ROLE-PLAY. This is meant to be fun and relaxing for all those involved, it is not real life. If you find the role-play situation you're in has gone beyond the point of enjoyment and into stress, let the other mun know that you don't wish to continue because youre not having fun anymore. If the other mun persists to badger and bother you, please let one of the ops know and it will be taken care of, or just put them on ignore.
